I’ve got a really fun one to show you all! I recently completed new branding for Austin based floral stylist and flower farmers – Gretchen and Ben of Petals, Ink. When I say “flower farmers” I mean they actually grow their gorgeous florals right outside their super cute studio doors. Their work is really something special and you can just see their love for what they do. Just take a minute to read their blog and you ‘ll understand. But back to the branding. Gretchen was working with a brand identity that – although it said floral design – it was more run of the mill florist, rather than “amazing floral artistry homegrown and inspired by love”. Yeah…we needed THAT. So we embarked on a branding journey that included a custom photo shoot for the elements in the logo and site (thank you former client Natalie Seeboth!) and lots of drawing, rearranging and design exploration. Kinda like what Gretchen does for her clients. The result was a vibrant rebrand that uses Petals, Ink’s actual work – their flowers! We had fun working this into the site and other branding elements. The final product is bold, artsy and totally Petals, Ink. People of Austin: get to know this great business if you don’t already. They are fantastic to work with and really know what it takes to make something special.
